Brief view of what’s new in Service Desk Express V9.6


The new release of BMC Service Desk Express Suite (SDE) V9.6 is scheduled for global availability February 1.

Key highlights of the release

The primary objective of this release is to improve simplicity, supportability and security of the product, thereby increasing overall customer satisfaction. There are four major additions/ improvements in SDE V9.6:

  • Error logging and diagnostics to improve supportability of the product
  • Many UI and functionality improvements as requested by existing customers
  • Improved security of the system in terms of user access and prevention from external attacks
  • Completely revamped self-service included within SDE and Client Services (add-on module) by enhancing the look and feel and adding new functionality.
